Lake Macquarie Etchells Fleet have begun their qualifying series. It will be a tough battle with at least six boats worthy of a spot in the Worlds.
Lake Macquarie fleet's qualifying series will be made up of two races every Saturday, the LMYC Spring Regatta up and right up to the NSW States. We also have a new fleet member, with Richard Howard buying one of our existing boats.
Also, just a quick reminder about some events. The Newcastle Offshore Regatta, which was just held from Saturday October 1 to Monday October 3, 2011. The other event is the Lake Macquarie Yacht Club Spring Regatta, which is on Saturday October 8 and Sunday October 9, 2011. There will be two races per day and we have some the best facilities for launching and docking, to say nothing of the view, once sailing is all done.
